What is the best way to use a fridge van?
Useful tips about loading the vehicle:
* Pre-chill the loadspace for approx 15 mins
* Switch the fridge unit off while loading
* Minimise time that doors are open to avoid heat & humidity
* Set the desired temp on cab control
* Ideally, product should be stored at right temp before loading
(load cases of drink the day before to achieve adequate chilling)
* Do not block evaporator air intake/outlets
* Ideally, allow space around the product for air circulation
60 to 80mm in front of load
200mm from top of load to roof
50mm between floor and load (eg on a pallet)
* Close doors asap after loading
* Make sure no-one is shut inside
* Check the load temp regularly
(displayed on the fridge control & temp recorder)
WHEN RUNNING FROM 13A ELECTRICS:
* Switch vehicle engine off
* Switch cab control off before connecting mains lead
* Avoid extension leads which can blow fuses
(Acrobat supply mains lead of approx 20ft long)
